Ewa Jarenskog
Ewa Jarenskog has worked professionally as a designer and an artist for more than 30 years. Children and animals have been her main sources of inspiration. Her sculptures, in varying materials, can be viewed around Scandinavia in both museums and in public spaces.
Ewa began designing toys through her love of children and her own extensive experience as a mother of four, and founded Design Rubens in 1995, named after her father Ruben. Ewa was personally given an assignment from a leading Swedish company to create a textile doll, and the first textile Rubens Barn doll was born as a result of her extensive knowledge of sculptural design.
Each and every doll in the growing family of Design Rubens AB is deeply coloured by her lifelike expressions, humour and design, and they continue to spread endless joy throughout the world.
